Welcome to Benowie Scout  District.  Our Scout Groups provide opportunities for young people aged from 5 years to 25 years not only to participate in fun activities but, as importantly, to develop teamwork, leadership and time management skills which are so useful in all aspects of life.

Currently we have groups in Asquith, Berowra, Cherrybrook, Hornsby Heights, Mount Colah, Normanhurst, North Turramurra, Pennant Hills and West Pennant Hills.  Some of those groups have waiting lists.  We are also taking expressions of interest from 5 year olds (at school) to 7 year olds (and their parents) interested in joining groups at Waitara and East Wahroonga.

Scouting is based on the Scout Promise which includes doing your best, contributing to your community and helping other people.

A recent survey has confirmed that young people involved in Scouting are generally more resilient than their peers, spend less time on mobile devices, are more likely to face up to problems, more likely to feel good about themselves and to feel better about coping with life.
